Common Google Play Store Error Codes and How to Fix Them

You find an interesting application in Google Play Store and try to download it, but it showing an error message containing random numbers from Google Play Store. 

Here are some of the most common Google Play Store errors and their solution. 

Problem #1. Google Play Store Error Code RPC:S-3

Solution : Remove your account from Google Play Store and re-add it or try an alternate account.

Problem #2. Google Play Store Error Code [RPC:AEC:0]

Solution : Remove your Google account and all synced accounts. Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store and select Clear Data. Restart your device and try again. 

Problem #3. Google Play Store Error Code 24

Solution : You need a root manager to solve this problem, if you've one, navigate to Data/data folder and locate the package name of the app causing trouble. This app can be found by looking at the URL of the app on the Play Store website. Delete the entire folder and try reinstalling the app.

Problem #4. Google Play Store Error Code 920

Solution 1. Turn your Internet off and on it again to download the app.

Solution 2. Delete your Google account, restart your device and add your accout back again or try an alternative account.

Solution 3. Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store and select both Clear data and Clear cache and finally Uninstall updates.  Restart your device, open Google Play Store and try to download the app again.

Problem #5. Google Play Store Error Code 911

Solution : Go to Settings > Apps, then swipe to 'All' and scroll down to 'Google Services', select Clear Cache and Clear Data.

Problem #6. Google Play Store install error Code 961

First, get a refund from the Play Store by selecting repayment option in the Play Store. Now Go to Settings > Apps, then swipe to 'All' and scroll down to 'Google Services', select Clear Cache and Clear Data.

Problem #7. Google Play Store Error Code 927

Solution : The download is impossible because an update of the Play Store is in progress, wait a few minute until the Google Play Store is completely upgraded.  If the problem persists, go to Settings, then Apps, swipe to All and locate the Google Services. Tap on Clear data and then Force stop. Do the same with the Google Play Store application. 

Problem #8. Google Play Store Error Code 481

Solution : Remove your Google account and login in with an alternate account.

Problem #9. Google Play Store Error Code 101

Solution : This error showing that there are too many currently installed app in your mobile phone, uninstall old and unused apps.

Problem #10. Google Play Store Error Code 492

Solution 1. The Dalvik cache is causing this error in your mobile, go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Service and select clear data, then force to stop. Do the same on the Google Play Store app.

Solution 2. To delete the Dalvik cache, try to complete a data wipe or factory reset. Beware, it will wipe your data so make sure you've backed up everything.

Problem #11. Google Play Store Error Code 923

Solution : This error occurs while syncing your Google account or insufficient cache memory. Remove your Google account and delete any useless applications that are taking up space. Next, reboot your device in recovery mode. Select Wipe cache partition and start your device as usual. Don’t worry, your personal data won’t be deleted. Set up your Google account once again. 

Problem #12. Google Play Store Error Code 403

Solution 1. This error occurs, when two Google account are used to buy application on one device. Uninstall the other Google account to download the app.

Solution 2. Go to Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Network > select APN (Access Point Name) and hit clear proxy option. 


Solution 3. Open Play Store > Settings > Clear Search History.

Problem #13. Package File Invalid

Solution 1. Go to Settings > Apps > All and select the app that's causing the problem, then select Clear cache and Clear data. Try again in Google Play Store.

Solution 2. Install App through Google Play Store website.


Solution 3. Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store and select Clear cache and Clear data. Do the same for Google Services Framework.

Problem #14. Google Play Store Error Code 921

Solution 1. Delete the cache of the Google Play Store application.

Solution 2. Delete all the Play Store application data.

Solution 3. Remove our Google account, restart the device and enter it again.

Problem #15. Google Play Store Error Code 413

Solution : Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Services > tap on Clear data and then Force stop. Do the same with the Google Play Store app and clear the cache from your internet browser.

Problem #16. Google Play Store Error Code 919

Solution : There is no more space on your Android device, try to eliminate all unnecessary data such as music, videos or large applications.

Problem #17. Google Play Store Error Code 498

Solution : The problem is that the cache of your device is full, delete unnecessary application and files. Restart your smartphone in recovery mode by pressing volume down and power button, select 'wipe cache partition' and confirm using the power button.

Problem #18. Google Play Store Error Code 491

Solution : Go to Settings > Accounts > Google > Remove account and reboot your Android device. Add the account once again, go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Services > click clear data and finally Force stop.

Problem #19. Google Play Store Error Code 505

Solution : This error occurs, when two or more apps have duplicate permissions. Download Lucky Patcher backup and this tool tells you that which app is producing the conflict. Just uninstall the app which have duplicate permission.

Problem #20. Google Play Store Error Code 504
Solution : Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store > click clear cache and clear data. Also Clear cache and Clear data for Google Services Framework.

Problem #21. Google Play Store Error Code [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]

Solution : Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store and select Clear cache and Uninstall updates. Do the same for Download Manager and Google Services Framework.

Problem #22. Google Play Store Error Code RH01

Solution : Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store and select both Clear data and Clear cache. Do the same for Google Services Framework. If problem is not solved yet try to remove your Gmail account, restart your device and re-add your Gmail account.

Problem #23. Google Play Store Error Code 941

Solution : Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store and press Clear cache and Clear data. In the same place, scroll down to Download Manager and press Clear cache and Clear data for that too. Try the update again.

Problem #24. Google Play Store Error Code 495

Solution : Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store > Clear data. Delete data from Google Services Framework as well. Delete your Google account on the device, reboot your phone and re-add your Google account in Settings > Accounts > Add Account > Google Account.

Problem #25. Google Play Store Error Code 194

Solution : Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store > click Clear data and tap the Force stop button. Delete data from Google Services Framework as well.

Problem #26. Google Play Store Error DF-BPA-09 'Error Processing Purchase'

Solution : Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Services Framework > click Clear data and tap 'OK'. If this doesn't work, go to Google Play website and download your app.
